What is Flexible Seating?
Flexible seating replaces fixed desks with options such as stools, cushions, standing desks, floor seating, and collaborative tables. Research shows students focus longer and stay more engaged when seating matches how they learn and work. These alternatives have been shown to improve on-task behavior. Teachers report fewer disruptions and stronger collaboration during group work. Movement friendly seating supports students with sensory and attention needs, leading to higher productivity and stronger classroom outcomes.
